Baby Peyton | Newborn

Little Miss Peyton looks a bit older now than she did at her newborn session (3 months is a lot of time in baby world!), but I still wanted to debut her little, baby self on the blog before she's off to college. ;)

Ashley and Justin were one of my very first wedding clients in Cleveland, so this was an extra sweet session for me to document. I can't quite explain how meaningful it is to not only watch families form, but to photograph those first few days as well. There's just nothing else like it. This family has been so good to me, and I'm over-the-moon happy for them.

Baby Oliver | Newborn

Baby Oliver is a super special little baby. His parents, Staci and Ben, are past wedding clients of mine (remember their cute dogs who played a big part in their big day??) and I wanted Oliver's newborn photos to be SO GOOD for them. Staci and Ben are huge fans of candid photos, which is perfect for a lifestyle baby session. I adore these photos, and especially love that we were able to incorporate the whole family (read: animals included!). Baby Oliver, you are one loved little dude!

Baby Ford | Newborn

Amanda and Trey said they weren't really "picture people" but that they wanted to work on that now that their sweet Ford was here. That's honesty right there. So many of us (myself included!) aren't super comfortable in from of the camera, but time goes so fast. SO, so fast. We blink and it's tomorrow and then it's a year later, and it's hard to remember the details. I love that this little family will have these lifestyle photos to remember that time they were a family of three. There's so much love between these three. It was an honor to photograph it!

Let's talk about how gorgeous Amanda is! What a beautiful mom. :)

Baby Leo | Newborn

It was the moment Leo's dad, Del, turned to me and said, "You should get yourself one of these," (as in the sleeping baby he was holding in his arms) that I truly understood the depth of love Del and Andrea have for their sweet baby boy. This is why I love photographing newborns just as they are … wide-eyed in their cribs, cuddled by mom and dad, contently sleeping in their swaddle. The first days of life are so precious and innocent and exciting all on their own. These sweet and simple photos say it all.
