My favorite thing about baby Cecilia is her hair. I mean, c'mon. Look at all that baby hair! Luscious locks aside, this little lady has an adorable grin, a happy demeanor and the nicest parents she could ask for. I even went to high school with her mom! How fun. :)

What a cutie!
This little boy could not be more loved. Kannan's family followed him around Huntington Beach for an hour, pausing to pick him up and swing him around, showing him the sand and water, kissing his (adorable) cheeks. And I got to follow them around and document all of it. This is why I love family sessions; my style is very photojournalistic and my goal is always to show what it's really like to be a kid. It's always nice to have a posed family photo, but it's also nice to remember what being 1 year old is like. So here's Kannan at 1. (And have you seen his hair??)
True story: When Gian contacted me about photographing his wedding I originally said no. I already had Jessica and Dennis' wedding on the calendar and I try to stay away from double headers because they are exhausting. Thank goodness he talked me into it because Kaitlin and Gian are some of my favorite people, and I can't imagine this year without them! Not only did we get to know each other at their engagement shoot, but they also modeled for my styled shoot and we've had some other outings along the way. What a fantastic couple: they're so down to earth, appreciative of photography, and so, so generous and kind. I'm really sad their wedding is over! I'm going to have to find some way to sneak these two in front of my camera again. Soon.
It was a double wedding weekend over here, and while that's usually completely daunting, I photographed two fantastic couples that I've been able to really get to know over the course of the year. This weekend really just felt like hanging out with friends. And THAT'S why I do this job. :) First up is Jessica and Dennis! What a sweet, emotion-filled wedding this was! My favorite thing about this couple is how they perfectly complement each other. Jessica is the first one to laugh at herself. She's goofy and bubbly and really fun to be around. Dennis is her rock. He's poised and successful and fiercely loyal. Enjoy some of my favorites from their rainy-and-sunny-and-then-rainy-and-then-muggy day (the weather seriously couldn't make up it's mind!).
