Baby Soren | Newborn

This session has a really special place in my heart because this little family goes to our church! I was SO honored when Leigh and Tim asked me to document this new season in their lives. I've come to adore newborn sessions, but photographing a friend's newborn? It makes it that much sweeter.

Leigh and Tim are fantastic parents, and I'm already looking up to them. They both have such calm demeanors, and I'm pretty sure their relaxed attitude has transferred to Soren. I haven't heard him cry once in church! :) These two are also both so intelligent, involved with the community and have hearts of gold. I strive to be Leigh and Tim when I grow up! Soren is a lucky baby boy.

So peaceful.

That cradle is a family heirloom. And because of that, this is my favorite photo of the whole bunch. :) Congratulations again, Leigh and Tim!

Baby Jeffrey | Newborn

Baby Jeffrey was, hands down, the most cooperative newborn I've ever photographed. I usually get pretty lucky with babies' temperaments, but this little guys was awake the whole time and didn't make a peep! He was just content to be held or observe everyone in the room when it was his turn to be photographed solo.

Jeffrey's parents, Matt and Jen, are great friends of Nathan's and mine, and it was so special to get a peek into their little family's first few days. They make it look so easy! :)

Matt needs a "World's Greatest Dad" T-shirt. He is SO good with Jeffrey!

Jen, this makes my heart melt. You are such a good mom!

Film Mini Shoot #4 | Baby Wyatt

Oh, Baby Wyatt. Your face is so serious but your hair is so silly. Really, though, his hair is awesome, right? I'm so grateful I met Jeanna and Brian last year and have gotten to keep up with Baby Wyatt since he's been born. What a sweet, little boy.

I'm loving these indoor film photos … something a little different for me and something I hope to keep up!

That hair! Come. On.

Baby Jameson | Newborn

What a sweet session! Baby Jameson was not very interested in being in front of my camera, but he pulled through with a little help from mom and dad. :) Amy and Shaun are friends of ours, and it was incredibly special to see how awesome they are with their first baby. Shaun is a baby whisperer. For real. Jameson just melted in his dad's arms, which was quite helpful and adorable to photograph. And Amy? She is the most happy, upbeat new mom I've ever seen. She has such a great attitude about motherhood and more energy than me! Jameson is one lucky baby.

Congrats, you two, on your little guy!

Baby yawns are the best!

And can we talk about how adorable Jameson's nursery is?! Amy is quite talented. :)
