She thought it was a little weird that a stranger was following her into the bathroom at a local bar, but when the girl introduced herself and explained that she was only doing it for her brother, Dee Dee relaxed a little. She agreed to say hi to Dave ... what could it hurt, right? One month later, Dee Dee and Dave were inseparable. She knew she had found a good one when Dave stayed by her side through a stressful work situation. He even surprised her with a dozen roses and continuously reassured her. He made me feel safe, she said.
And Dave? He fell in love with Dee Dee's personality ... and those of her children, Michael and Sarah. Dee Dee describes it as "unconditional," and that I can totally see. The way Dave looks at his new family says forever.
Dee Dee and Dave's wedding day was a beautiful celebration, and I can't think of two people who deserve that more than them. These two are so kind-hearted, generous and thoughtful. I've loved getting to know them! Thank you, you guys, for letting me be a part of your big day. Much love and happiness to you!
Love this photo above (checking in on her maid of honor) and below (getting a picture from the flower girl).
Michael walked his mom down the aisle. :)
Can't get enough of that bouquet! Vase to Vase did an amazing job on the flowers.
Get this. Dee Dee's maid of honor, Jen, is also her best friend. And their daughters are best friends, too! Cool, right?
And then this happened. And it was awesome. Dave's best man, Ed, is hilarious. And Dave's pretty funny himself. ;)
While I was hanging out with Dee Dee and Dave, Nathan was keeping the flower girl entertained. Little Grace is Katie's daughter ... Dave's sister who made the meeting between Dee Dee and her brother happen! :)
Thanks to Gina with Shi-Shi Events, I got to photograph lots of details before everyone arrived for the reception. LOVE it! Thanks, Gina!
