Tallmadge Circle Family Session

Want to see the two most adorable little girls? Well, scroll down because Clare and Maggie will just melt your heart. These two little ladies are so pretty in pink, and dare I say future Miami University students? :)

Fun story: I met Julie, their mom, at Scott Dining Hall on campus where we both worked. Yep, that's right. We mixed smoothies and twisted pretzels for the hungry students of Miami. How CRAZY that I'm now photographing her family! I don't think either of us would have called that one eight years ago!

Julie and her husband, Steve, are fellow Miami Mergers (you know how much I love Miami Mergers … here and here for just a couple examples) and are now doing such a wonderful job raising their two girls in Northeast Ohio. M family, I loved getting a peek into your life. Thanks for having me!

Clare is the most interesting 3-year-old I've ever met. While we were walking to the church in Tallmadge Circle she casually mentioned that it was "pitiful" that it was so cold outside. I couldn't have agreed more, Clare.

The B Family

Does this family look familiar?? Let me give you a clue ... Ashley and Justin. Yep, Lindsay is Ashley's sister! And I must say there's a family resemblance. :) I absolutely love photographing families because they're always so genuine. Kids aren't afraid to be goofy in front of the camera and you get to see how great mom and dad are with the kids. This family was definitely no exception.

Ben is in the Navy and will be deployed in the next month. Lindsay wanted to make sure to get some pictures with him and the kids since he'll be serving our country overseas for a year. Plus, they're expecting their third child in a few months. So much going on for this sweet family!

Baby Lane | 6 Months

Baby Lane is 6 months old! And he still has that hair ... even after a hair cut. :) It's been so fun watching him grow, and I feel like I'm learning a thing or two about babies through these sessions. You know, for waaay down the line. ;) Enjoy my favorites from this session, and make sure you scroll a little way down to see the family dog licking Lane. SO CUTE!

Lane loves his dog. He didn't want to let go. And she was such a good sport about it. :)

Katie & Kyle | Portraits

Have I mentioned how awesome my second shooter is? Because really, Emily is pretty great. We needed to practice with a real couple (no more of my awkward modeling for her!) and she coerced her adorable sister and sister's boyfriend into being our subjects for a shoot. And now these are some of my favorite pictures ever. Thank you, Katie and Kyle! We only had about half an hour or so in Peninsula before it started sprinkling but it was super easy to photograph these two because, well, see below. While I was getting the picture on the left, Emily was getting the picture on the right.

Note to couples: If you want colorful photos, wear something colorful! I loved Katie's yellow scarf, and it went well with the green trees.
