Melissa & Will | Art Deco Cleveland Engagement

Melissa and Will have such awesome style. When I met Melissa for coffee a few months ago and she shared her vision for their Art Deco wedding, I was hooked. I reallllly wanted to be a part of this wedding. :)

Because their big day will be a little untraditional, Melissa and Will also wanted to pull the Art Deco theme into their engagement shoot. I'm so glad they did! I love the unique look and these two! They look like they stepped out of a magazine. I need style lessons, guys!

Be on the look out for their amazing wedding in just about a month. I'm super excited to hang out with you two again! :)

We were lucky enough to be able to use the Standard Building for some of the session's backdrop.

Jaclyn & Nicholas | Kent Engagement

Jaclyn and Nick are high school and college sweethearts (can you be both? I think you can!) ... and coincidentally, they have the biggest hearts. These are two people who make you feel comfortable the minute you walk into a room. I know they would do anything for the people they love.

I met Jaclyn and Nick in Kent, where they both went to school, and we explored the town and the woods behind the house Nick lived in, in college. We chatted about everything from Kate Middleton to Hawaii to our values. :)

I am so lucky to be your photographer, you guys. It's been a blessing getting to know you, and I am so looking forward to your wedding!

That one up there on the left? My favorite. You guys are a good-looking couple. :)

Nick's friend was nice enough to make a fire so we could stay warm!

Katie & Kyle | Cleveland Engagement

I know I sound like a broken record, but my clients are really the best. I met Katie and Kyle on a reallllly cold, snowy, Cleveland day and they rocked the outdoor photos. Just take a look at that photo above. Oh em gee!

These two are adorable (obviously). Would you believe they almost didn't meet?? Both are grad students at Case Western (read: really smart!) and attended a Mardi Gras event sponsored by the school. When Katie's class ran late, she almost missed the event. She ended up not only making it but sitting next to this intriguing person she hoped she would see again. :)

"From our first conversation I knew that he was smart and funny, but I soon learned that he was also serious about faith, devoted to his family, and had many of the same priorities as me," Katie remembered. "It seemed like every time we hung out, I learned something new that I loved about him."

Katie and Kyle will tie the knot in just a few weeks, and I know it will be a fantastic celebration. I'm so looking forward to working with these two next month!

We started on the steps of Severance Hall in University Circle. They had their first date inside that building!

Katie, you are so gorgeous! The lovely Lindsay London will be doing Katie's makeup on her wedding day and Katie decided to do her trial run for the engagement photos. Smart girl!

Kaitlin & Gian | Akron Engagement

She knew after one chance meeting that they would get married. What?? That's what I said, but look where they are now! Kaitlin told me she called her mom after talking to Gian one night when she was out with her friends and said exactly that ... that she had met the man she was going to marry. They forgot to exchange numbers but because Gian's name is so unique, she found him without too much searching. And he knew she would.

Fast forward to 2013 and here they are. Getting their engagement pictures taken and planning the wedding that Kaitlin knew they would have. I promise you, these two are the sweetest, most fun and enthusiastic couple of all time. I had a blast traipsing around Akron with them ... and they were such good sports with all the snow and cold. (I personally think the falling snow makes the pictures extra special.)

Kaitlin and Gian, I'm so looking forward to your fall wedding! You two are the best!
