It was a double wedding weekend over here, and while that's usually completely daunting, I photographed two fantastic couples that I've been able to really get to know over the course of the year. This weekend really just felt like hanging out with friends. And THAT'S why I do this job. :) First up is Jessica and Dennis! What a sweet, emotion-filled wedding this was! My favorite thing about this couple is how they perfectly complement each other. Jessica is the first one to laugh at herself. She's goofy and bubbly and really fun to be around. Dennis is her rock. He's poised and successful and fiercely loyal. Enjoy some of my favorites from their rainy-and-sunny-and-then-rainy-and-then-muggy day (the weather seriously couldn't make up it's mind!). Have a fabulous honeymoon, you two!
Erin & Colin | Massimo Da Milano Ohio City Wedding
She's the one who wants to take flight. He's the anchor. They complement each other that way. Erin and Colin met in college during freshman move in. It wasn't, however, until Erin tackled Colin in the hallway (yes, that petite girl tackled that 6-foot-something guy) that they started seeing more of each other.
"He is so calm, and I can read him like an open book," Erin said about Colin. "I love the way he smiles at me like I'm the only person in the world. He loves me unconditionally."
It's true that Colin only has eyes for Erin. After watching these two for just a few seconds, you can't help but grin at their sweet relationship. They are 100% enamored with each other.
"We share so much in common, have similar interests and can have conversations that few others can follow along," Colin said about Erin. "She's amazing and makes me happy."
Erin and Colin, what an honor it was to photograph your pure love. I think we can all learn from you guys. Here's to all your many adventures ahead!
Erin is always smiling! :)
Girl getting ready time is so much different than guy getting ready time. It absolutely cracks me up!
And then there was a bagpiper surprise! How cool!
I loved the unique color scheme!
Coolest wedding day activity ever: a tour at Great Lakes Brewing Company!
Come on. These two are so adorable.

Crystal & Mark | Cleveland Federated Family Life Center Wedding Sneak Peek
I've been anticipating this wedding for a long time! Crystal is one of my friends and a fabulous Cleveland blogger. (If you want to keep up with all the goings on in Cleveland, especially in the food scene, you should check out her blog!) She put her heart and soul into planning this wedding with her fantastic now-hubby Mark, and I was excited to see it come to life. There will be so much more next week, but here are a couple of my favorites from our trek around the city (these two are Clevelanders through and through!) ...
Alexis & Brandon | Quail Hollow Wedding
9.14.13 was a good day. Alexis wins the prize for the most expressive bride I've ever photographed, and this wedding day is in the running for having the most beautiful weather at a wedding this year (that's a stacked category though). Oh, and Alexis and Brandon are some of the sweetest people I've ever worked with! Seriously, how do I get so lucky??
I knew I would like these two the minute Brandon told me he was a Phi Tau. Remember that fraternity I've mentioned working for in the past? Well, that would be Phi Tau. Those guys are a good bunch and Brandon is no exception.
Alexis and Brandon are incredibly hard working (Can you believe Alexis is currently in med school? Like, WHILE planning her wedding!), kind and passionate people, and I know they have an incredible journey ahead. I say this all the time, but what a blessing it is to meet people like these two on a regular basis.
Alexis and Brandon, thank you for being awesome. Period. :)
See? Expressive!
Look at that perfect blue sky!
And this is why it's awesome to have a second photographer. While I was getting the front view of that top right photo, my assistant Markie was capturing this more candid photo of the bridesmaids. Thanks, Markie! :)
How gorgeous is Alexis? She's equally as sweet!
Favorite!
GQ. ;)
