Kathy & Justin | Lyman Harbor Sandusky Wedding

Kathy and Justin are just about the cutest couple I've ever met. Within minutes of meeting these two you can't help but notice that they adore each other so much. All Kathy wanted to do while she was getting ready on her wedding day was SEE JUSTIN! Good thing they planned a first look. I don't think she would have made it to the altar. :)

When they say that they're each other's best friend, they mean it.

"Justin is patient and understanding, helping to strengthen myself as well as our relationship," Kathy said. "I know that no matter what life throws our way, we will take it on together."

And Just himself is so obviously enamored with Kathy.

"Even before we started dating I knew that Kathy was everything I ever wanted, and I would do anything to make her mine," he said. "Wherever life takes us, I'm happy to know she'll be by my side."

Oh guys, thanks for being so sweet. To each other … and to us, your photographers! We loved spending the day in Sandusky with you, documenting you two making it official. Congrats you married people!

There was palpable energy just before Kathy and Justin's first look. That's why first looks are so cool!

Don't you love Kathy's red lips?? She is gorgeous. And I think her doppelgänger is Amanda Seyfried, no?

See that seagull on the roof in the picture on the left? He sat and watched the entire ceremony. So funny!

Rebecca & Kyle | Columbia Ballroom Wedding

Rebecca's a dancer. Kyle's a musician. Rebecca's 4'11". Kyle is … tall. :) They met while teaching their passions at a local high school, and Rebecca likes to say she "danced to the beat of his drums." Haha, that girl is the cutest. And she has the BEST facial expressions and a contagious personality.

"I love how Rebecca is always up for any crazy ideas I have," Kyle said, obviously agreeing with me on how great Rebecca is. "She's also ready to solve any problem that comes our way. She is my other half and my best friend."

Kyle isn't bad himself. For one, he loves cats. (Yes, that makes him my new best friend.) And he would do ANYTHING for Rebecca.

"When I'm with Kyle he always seem to fill the moments with laughter," Rebecca said. "Kyle pushes me to believe in myself and he truly is my best friend. I love the way he makes me feel when I am with him and how the simple moments in our relationship are the ones I cherish the most."

Oh, you guys. :) Thanks a million for inviting me to document your big day. Everything was incredibly beautiful, and you two made Markie and I feel so welcome! I can't wait to keep up with the additions to your cat family!

Rachel & Ryan | Mon Ami Winery Wedding

Rachel and Ryan met during a night out in Chicago … over some banter. These two are both so witty, it doesn't surprise me in the least that they joked with each other all night. It was probably hilarious. :) The only problem? Rachel lived in Chicago while Ryan called Cleveland home.

According to Rachel, it almost didn't matter because Ryan was "so upfront with his feelings" that she was ready to make it work regardless.

"My favorite thing about Ryan is his unwavering desire to make me happy," Even when I'm upset or feel self-conscious, he does whatever he can to make me feel better, beautiful and loved. I have never had to question the fact that Ryan loves me and will love me no matter what."

I can personally attest to that just from watching the two of them from behind my camera. Ryan wears his heart on his sleeve when it comes to Rachel, and it's one of the things that makes them so fun to photograph.

Ryan chimed in: "Rachel's the most caring and thoughtful person I know. Everyone sees it the first time they meet her, and I will always cherish it."

Rachel and Ryan, thank you so much for inviting me to document your day. You two are beautiful people, and I'm really so honored to have been your photographer. Enjoy this crazy ride!

Collected 2014 | Northeast Ohio Collaborative Wedding Shoot

Northeast Ohio is full of talented, creative, inspiring people. I'm so lucky to have the chance to regularly work with some of the best of them. And last month I had the chance to work with a whole slew of creative wedding professionals at a collaborative event called Collected.

My dear friends Mallory + Justin created Collected to give local vendors in this industry a chance to create for themselves. And also come together and get to know and inspire each other. It was so fun to be a part of Collected, and I'm so grateful to Mallory + Justin for inviting me!

The event was held at Mallory's parent's house (thanks, Bairs!) in Waynesburg, which was really the perfect setting. Talk about gorgeous property! Heather of Fair Rarity, Janelle of With Love and Whimsy and  Colleen of Borrow Rentals made the backyard look even more beautiful with this first setup ...

Many thanks to Jessica and Frankie for modeling for us. :)

For me, one of the best things about Collected was that I got to shoot a ton of film. I really do get giddy when I pull out my Mamiya, so that was inspiring in and of itself.

Maggie of MKleinman Artistry did a fantastic job on the ladies' makeup throughout the day.
