Baby Charlotte | Lifestyle Newborn Photos

Cleveland At-Home Baby PhotosBeth and Erik greeted me at their front door with wide smiles. Despite being sleep deprived, getting used to the tiny addition in their home and adjusting to a new schedule, these two were smitten with their little Charlotte. They were candid about their new life as parents, but Charlotte has a strong hold on a piece of their hearts, and it's not hard to see why. She's got these pouty lips, a perfect smattering of hair and 10 cute, little toes that don't stop moving as she squirms and dances.

It was so fun to photograph this little lady and her sweet parents. Enjoy my favorites from our afternoon session in Charlotte's bright nursery.

Covington Kentucky Lifestyle Family Photos

Northern Kentucky Family PhotographerJust a little over six years ago I photographed my first wedding with Amanda Donaho Photography. I was scared out of my mind (you can read more about that here), but Amanda was so kind and helpful, and I knew I had found a kindred spirit. She's since photographed our engagement and wedding, and now I get to photograph her family. Somebody pinch me. It's surreal to come full circle with this talented lady, and I couldn't be more grateful for everything she's done for me.

I always get a little nervous photographing another photographer, but the Donaho clan makes it so easy on me. Each one of these kids is adorable and I just love how you can get a peek into each of their personalities through these photos. In case you want to take a trip down memory lane, check out the last session I did for this family. The chubby cheeks are too much! :)

October Goals

Autumn in Ohio I stayed SO busy in September, as evidenced by my lack of blog posts. Here's the thing about blogging. I love it, I really do. As a journalism girl, I get to fulfill my love of writing on this little blog here. However, one thing I've learned while running this business is that I have to take care of my clients first (shooting, editing, e-mailing, meeting) and then myself (exercising, eating right, resting), and that doesn't always provide a lot of extra time for the other things that I reallllly want to accomplish (blogging, shooting for myself, staying super up-to-date with social media). Owning a small business is a whirlwind--a good one--and I'm always learning something new. I promise I'm going to be introducing some really awesome people to this blog soon enough. For now, my reach-for-the-stars, I-wish-there-were-30-hours-in-a-day goals for October. It's my last super busy month of the year, and I'm going to try to keep up with everything. Even if I only get 24 hours a day.

October Goals

  • Finish Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less (ironic that I'm having a hard time finishing this book in the midst of my busy season?) and read Everything I Never Told You
  • Continue developing a realistic morning routine, especially as the days start to slow down
  • Finish decorating our kitchen nook
  • Start training for the Cincinnati Turkey Trot (yes, I have to train for a 10K!)
  • Go on a fall hike
  • Take one weekend day completely off to spend with Nathan
  • Host Nathan's family for a weekend
  • Edit all September work and stay caught up with October work through the end of the month
