They met across basketballs and dodgeballs in high school summer gym. They became friends ... but only friends ... and even went to a high school school dance together once Ashley transferred to another school.
"I must have scarred him because he didn't attend any more high school dances after that," she remembered.
Years later, they finally went on that first (or second?) date, no dancing involved. :)
"She always puts others before herself even if she is overwhelmed," Dan said. "She is the most beautiful person inside and out, which makes me feel like I have to be the luckiest man."
I'm so glad I had the chance to work with you two. You make such a great team, and I have loved getting to know you! Best of luck as husband and wife. :)
Ashley's cat could not figure out what I was doing.
Ashley and Dan chose not to do a first look, but saved a little bit of time for a couple of "no-look" pre-ceremony photos.
And this is why I love having a second shooter. Emily captured all the shots below.
Nice work guys!
And girls and guy ... :)
Ashley's parents were also married in Medina and had their pictures done in front of the same gazebo. :)
Gorgeous, Ashley! All the credit goes to Emily on this one. :)
They did such a good job with the damask detail. It was everywhere!
Fun wedding party. :)
And then they set off Chinese lanterns. I think this was my favorite part of the whole day. You know. Besides the getting married part.
Love this one of Dan and his mom.
